| Man Leading Nation in $10 Billion Suit On Behalf of America’s ...
The poor poverty stricken man who is pursuing a $10 Billion Civil Suit against the State of Oregon, the Federal Government and 49 other States on behalf of himself as lead plaintiff and hundreds of thousands of fathers across the nation has given this author permission to publish his account of his current circumstances for the public record. On May 13th, 2007 I got a letter from an attorney who I paid $100 to review my case. The first attorney who reviewed my case over the phone without any documentation also charged me $100. The first attorney referred me to the second attorney. The second attorney consulted with a third attorney more her superior and qualified to deal with my complex case. Therapy through song eases pain, boosts morale of seriously ill ...
There's a reason even the most flat, tone-deaf and shrill of us sing in the shower: It makes us feel good, says music therapist Donalyn Richardson. The Valley medical community now, too, is embracing the feel-good properties of music for the treatment of cancer and rehabilitation. Mesa's Banner Desert Medical Center, for example, recently received national certification as a music-therapy internship site. The program reflects the fact that music therapy is gaining ground as a complementary treatment. "It's definitely a feather in our cap," said Richardson, Banner Desert's music therapist. Marc Schogol, 58, veteran Inquirer reporter and editor, dies
In "Till Death Do Us Part," published on Sept. 25, 1983, Mr. Schogol told of how he and his wife had learned what their wedding vows from 1975 really meant. "Just a few hours before, I'd been home, getting ready for bed. Now I was in [Lankenau] hospital, with an IV tube in my arm and a nurse at my side trying to comfort me by telling me that I probably had a year to live," Mr. Schogol wrote. Thus began a remarkable journey driven by Mr. Schogol's love for his family, his job and life. After breaking the news to his wife, Mr. Schogol called James M. Naughton, then the managing editor. Naughton sent a platoon of newsroom colleagues to Mr. Schogol's hospital room. Many told of people who had lived long lives despite having leukemia. "I'll never forget all the people who, on the worst day of my life, were there," Mr.
